Day 1 – Friday, June 6
Your guide for the trip, Lisa Sorba, will meet you in Turin at your hotel, the four-star NH S.Stefano.
Day 2 – Friday, June 7
This day is completely dedicated to exploring the royal city of Turin, protected as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
At 9:00 am we will start a walking tour of the historic center with Lisa which will finish with a lunch that will be served in a former aristocratic eighteenth-century building at Circolo dei Lettori, the beating heart of Turin’s cultural life.
After lunch, we will visit the stunning Egyptian Museum, the Oldest of its kind in the world and second only in importance to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
Before dinner, we’ll have an aperitivo of vermouth, one of Turin’s most famous exports, having been produced in the city since 1757.
Dinner will be served in a typical “piola”, a small and casual traditional restaurant, with our selection being the best in its category in 2022 and 2023.
After dinner, via our private bus, we will head to Pollenzo and check in to the four-star hotel Albergo dell’ Agenzia, a historic residence of the House of Savoy.
Day 3 – Saturday, June 8
This day is dedicated to discovering the Langhe!
A full-day trip ensues via our private bus and guide to explore the UNESCO-protected landscape of the Langhe with its green rolling hills, covered by vineyards and castles such as in Grizane, Serralunga, and Barolo.
You’ll have the wine tasting and lunch in Verduno at the Diego Morra winery and a tasting and dinner at Brezza’s winery.
Before dinner, you’ll visit Italy’s most innovative wine museum, the WIMU, in Barolo.
Day 4 – Sunday, June 9
On this day you’ll discover the stunning 13th-century frescoes that embellish the Manta’s Castel, another jewel of our tour.
Our guide will show you a unique heritage of medieval art, and after lunch, you’ll have a special tasting: a delicious organic and artisanal gelato in Alba.
Following this our guide will show us the city of Alba where every year The International Alba White Truffle Fair takes place and is visited by truffle lovers from over 60 countries.
Day 5 – Monday, June 10
Start the day with a beautiful panorama of Langhe and Roero from the top of Barbaresco before venturing on to Rizzi’s winery to taste an outstanding Barbaresco.
We’ll have lunch at La Morra, on a hilltop with one of the area’s most breathtaking views.
Following lunch, we’ll visit the famous little colored chapel in Barolo, before finishing the day by seeing the area’s famous ‘big benches’.
At the end of the day, we’ll head back to the NH Santo Stefano Hotel in Torino around 17:00 after which you’ll be free to have dinner at your leisure.
Day 6 – Tuesday, June 11
After checking out we will provide guidance for you with onward travel if required.
