The rod is rated for a lure up to 3 ounces, but I found the 3-ounce mark a comfortable starting point with the capability to cast a 2-ounce bucktail and rubber jig tail or 3-ounce swimming plug

There are still other fantastic variants, though

For lighter lines, make about 6-7 wraps, and for heavier lines, 3-4 wraps are sufficient

The high-speed 2500 reel has a 7:1 gear ratio which is super fast for a reel of that size
