My family and I just returned from a 2 week stay in Italy that was 10 months in the making. Thanks to Paola, this trip became the trip of a lifetime. From the very beginning, Paola was deeply invested in making sure this trip fulfilled every Northern Italian adventure we requested. Paola's attention to detail, from booking hotels for us that were centrally located, getting us drivers as we travelled as a family of 6 from Como to Modena , Verona, Venice and Milan and supplying amazing, knowledgeable tour guides for all of our adventures, made this trip stress free for us. Paola was always available and checked in on us every single day of our trip to make sure everything was always going well. As an artist, my top priority for our visit to Rome and Florence was finding private guides with expertise in art and art history. My husband and I are so glad we found Lilipans. Their licensed guides—Paola, Lisa, and Livia—are exceptionally knowledgeable, with expertise spanning studio art, art history, history, politics, archaeology, and Judeo-Christian theology. Just as important, though, is their warmth, hospitality, and genuine enthusiasm. Whether we were exploring ancient ruins or visiting museums, their guidance enhanced every experience. Through emails and Zoom meetings, the Lilipans team created an itinerary that included all of our “must-sees,” along with thoughtful recommendations tailored to our interests. They skillfully arranged every detail to make everything happen in the most enjoyable way, including: selecting quiet hotel locations, coordinating transportation, securing tickets, helping us avoid lines and crowds, introducing us to local favorites, arranging a bike ride through the Tuscan countryside, organizing a private drawing class, and much more. Lilipans seemed to work almost magically crafting every aspect of the journey to meet—and exceed—our expectations, all while staying within our budget. Between Lisa and Paola we arranged tours in Florence and Rome. Paola found perfect hotels in great locations in Florence and Tuscany. She arranged drivers from Rome to Cinque Terre and then to Florence. When we got to Rome Lisa took us on two days of walking tours. Her knowledge of the history of Rome made the experience special.  We arrived in Rome just after the Pope had died and she handled with increased crowds and schedule changes perfectly. Please use Lilipans on your next trip to Italy!

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I took the “Art & Wine” Puglia Tour organized by Lilipans in cooperation with Roscioli in April 2025. What an amazing experience! Our tour guide Lisa of Lilipans did an excellent job of showing us many of the most beautiful villages and small towns in the region. She enlightened us with her knowledge about Italian history, culture, food and way of life. In addition, we had a fantastic local guide in most of the places we visited. Sommelier Lindsay of Roscioli was an added source of information, especially during the visits to various wineries curated by Roscioli. Each and every one was an experience by itself. And then there were experiences like learning how to make homemade pasta, or watching how mozzarella, capocollo ham or olive oil are made … all of course combined with a tasting of the final product. There was no shortage of good wine and regional food. Being in a small group of 10 people with similar interests was a lot of fun. The entire trip was easy and very well organized, with just enough time on your own here and there. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience and I can only recommend it.

Came to Florence to experience the art, culture, architecture, and politics of Renaissance Florence, with particular reference to the influence of the de Medici dynasty and we couldn't have chosen a better guide. Exceptionally well read, we were engrossed by the erudite deliberations which made Paola's 4 hour 'tutorials' fly by in what seemed like 20 minutes. Highly recommendable, and easonably priced. E' stata una visita molto interessante grazie alla nostra guida, Livia, che ci ha mostrato questo ampio complesso archeologico con grande professionalità e competenza, partendo da una bella introduzione generale  all'approfondimento storico- artistico di diversi angoli del sito (che è enorme).  La sua spiegazione chiara e ricca di particolari e aneddoti ci ha consentito di immergerci nel contesto storico e geografico e a farci immaginare in modo plastico la città  con le sue numerose attività.  Interessanti anche i riferimenti alla storia del sito stesso in tempi recenti. E' stata una visita di oltre tre ore  che sono volate via grazie alla vivacità dell'illustrazione. My wife and I booked a 12 day food and wine tour with Lisa Sorba who did an incredible job and each day miraculously exceeded the day prior.  We wanted to immerse ourselves in the best food and wineries throughout the country and Lisa's itinerary was indescribable!!  We started in Verona visiting the Valpolicella, Soave and Prosecco regions, then onto Lake Garda and Lake Como.  We then travelled to experience some of the best Barolo's and Barbaresco's in Piemonte.  Next onto Cinque Terre, Bolgheri and finishing up in Tuscany for some amazing Brunello's and Montepulciano's.  Oh, and I forgot about three cooking classes where my wife and I learned so much about local ingredients and how to make so many Italian classics. Each day Lisa had us having lunch and dinner at the best restaurants of the local region which were beyond amazing.  Lisa and Lilipans attention to detail and her personal touch made this trip an experience of a lifetime. My wife and I can't speak more highly of Lisa and Lilipans and we are already talking about having her plan our next trip to Sicily, we wouldn't think about using anyone else!
