These were usually used at the barracks but it also seems like most field kitchens also carried them and you can often see officers eating with these from aluminum plates or bowls which seem to have stayed with the kitchen

Souvenir of Paris Photo Packet WWI so I think it isVintage souvenir of Paris packet of photos. In good condition with the original envelope. This was found in a lot of random belongings of Wehrmacht soldier in the former East Germany, so that combined with the Paris in the pictures that looks like it is pre de Gaulle destroying everything beautiful there, I am quite sure this is WWII period. Interestingly, the packet says there are 22 photos, but I count 23.
