Headed out at 5 AM this morning to photograph cherry blossoms under 4 inches of slushy April 21st "powder

but managed to catch this shot of the bird surveying its territory in the falling snow :)

'Gray Ghost, Part 2' Gulf of Mexico but what a start toSpent three whole days driving around the boreal forests of Minnesota this past (long) weekend hoping to encounter Great Gray Owls. As my buddy (and travel partner) Phil says with all the crazy going on in the world, it makes me happy to know that these creatures are up here in the North Woods being majestic & doing cool sh*t. Thats paraphrased, but I couldnt say it better myself. Long live the GGO one of the most regal, secretive, and jaw dropping
