This awesome tour will take us to the Langhe and Roero areas in Piedmont, also known as Barolo and Barbaresco country. Famed for its breathtaking panoramas and hearty foods, we’ll visit world-class museums and UNESCO Heritage Sites, alongside numerous winemakers to sample the area’s best bottles.
Our tour will be led by certified guide Lisa Sorba from Lilipans Tours and sommelier and Roscioli Wine Club co-founder Lindsay Gabbard. Together they will provide you with insights and access unlike any other tour – from tastings to museums visits, every minute of these experiences is guaranteed to engage all of your senses!
With small, intimate groups of a maximum of 10 people per tour, together we’ll discover what makes this region of Italy special through curated programs.
Your guide for the trip, Lisa Sorba will meet you in Turin at your hotel, the four-star NH S.Stefano, where a welcome aperitif will be served to start our acquaintance!
This day is completely dedicated to exploring the royal city of Turin, protected as a UNESCO World Heritage site for its “Residences of the Royal House of Savoy”, an outstanding complex of buildings, designed and embellished by the leading architects and artists of the time. Torino is one of the most dynamic cities in the cultural and creative field in Italy, designated in 2008 as World Design Capital.
At 9:30am we will start a walking tour of the historic center that includes the Royal Palace and the “Chapel of the Shroud of Turin.” Lunch will be served in a former aristocratic eighteenth century building, housing the beating heart of Turin’s cultural life: the “Readers’ Club”. After lunch, you’ll have free time to relax in the hotel or shopping in the city center.
Before dinner you’ll have a stroll with Lisa and stop for an aperitivo of Vermouth, one of Turin’s most famous exports, having been produced in the city since 1757.
Dinner will be served in a typical restaurant in Turin.
After the check out, you’ll explore the stunning Egyptian Museum, the oldest in the world and second in importance after Cairo. On 2024 it celebrated its 200 years anniversary and it is even more beautiful as just renovated. A typical piedmontese lunch will be served in a local “piola”, a small and casual traditional restaurant, chosen as the best, in its category, in 2022 and 2023.
After lunch, with our private bus we will head to Pollenzo, recognized as the creative city of gastronomy thanks to the worldwide famous University of Gastronomic Sciences.
Check in the four-star hotel Albergo dell’ Agenzia, a historical residence conceived by King Charles Albert of Savoy as a model modern farm and winery, where you’ll have a little relax before heading to at the Roscioli’s winery Brezza’s for an outstanding Barolo tasting followed by dinner at their restaurant.
This day is dedicated to discovering the Langhe!
A full day trip ensues via our private bus and local guide in order to explore Cherasco and Verduno, where you’ll have an unforgettable wine tasting and lunch at the Diego Morra winery chosen by Roscioli. Afterwards, we’ll continue our private guided tour to explore the stunning UNESCO protected landscape of the Langhe with its green rolling hills, covered by vineyards and castles such as Grinzane, Serralunga, and enjoying the view from the famous “big benches”!
Dinner will be served in Pollenzo in a restaurant housed in the former royal stables and mentioned by the Michelin guide for its impeccable cuisine.
Let’s start the day with the magnificent view of Langhe and Roero seen from the top of the medieval Tower of Barbaresco before venturing on to Rizzi’s, another winery chosen by Roscioli, to taste outstanding Barbaresco.
Following lunch, we’ll taste a yummy gelato and visit, with the local guide, the famous city of Alba, a unique heritage of medieval art and the capital of the white truffle, where, every year, the International Alba White Truffle Fair takes place and it is visited by truffle lovers coming from all over the world. At the end of the day, we’ll head back to the hotel for relax.

We’ll be making our way back to Turin to crown our final day in this enchanting city with a guided tour to the remarkable Stupinigi Royal hunting residence, and followed by a sublime lunch at a Michelin-starred restaurant in town.
This afternoon, after having checking in at the NH Santo Stefano hotel you will have free time to stroll, doing some shopping or just relax.
Dinner will be at your leisure.
After checking out we will provide guidance for you with onward travel if required.
