BEAUTIFUL WESTERN SICILY

Western Sicily is the overwhelming land of fascinating contrasts. Fishing ports, coastal saltpans, hilltop vineyards and natural landscapes were crossed by Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs and Normans. Such melting pot of culture, art and history left stunning monuments and architectures in the breathtaking scenery creating a colorful and lively mosaic in the region.

This is the perfect destination to enjoy beautiful panorama, tasteful food, Art, Archeology and History. With small, intimate groups of a maximum of 16 people per tour, together we’ll discover what makes this region of Italy special, through curated programs.

Day 1 - Sunday, October 26

Individual arrival in Palermo, at the “Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa” where you’ll meet your Lilipans’ tour leader, Roscioli’s Sommelier and the other participants of the tour.

We’ll enjoy together an aperitif at the hotel to start our acquaintance.

Day 2 - Monday, October 27

This day is dedicated to discover the highlights of lively Palermo, with our expert local guide . During the tour you’ll enjoy the savory of the local food in a characteristic Sicilian trattoria.

After lunch and a pleasant stroll, we’ll discover one of the most representative identity brands of the Sicilian culture, declared by UNESCO as an intangible Heritage of Humanity: the workshop of the “Opera dei Pupi” and its incredible and touching history.

You’ll have free time and dinner at your leisure.

Day 3 - Tuesday, October 28

This day is dedicated to discover other highlights of lively Palermo, with our expert local guide and enjoy lunch at a characteristic Sicilian trattoria.

In the afternoon we’ll discover, with a private exclusive opening just for our group, one of the most precious aristocratic palaces of Sicily: Palazzo Gangi, where the noble family Valguarnera Gangi is still living,

You’ll have free time and dinner at your leisure.

Day 4 - Wednesday October 29

Let’s discover the Western Coast!

Following breakfast and check out we’ll visit the stunning UNESCO Cathedral of Monreale, one of the richest and most beautiful churches in Italy, combining Norman, Byzantine, Italian, and Saracen styles. Particularly notable is the interior mosaic decoration, one of the largest in existence.

After a leisurely lunch in Monreale, we’ll journey to Marsala to explore the historic Cantine Florio and taste 5 different Marsala wine, the local tradition fortified wine that encompass an English story with a Sicilian flavour. Florio family reveals a history of entrepreneurial quest for modernity and innovation, which in 150 years changed the economic face of Sicily forever.

After the check in at the 5 star “Hotel Baglio Oneto dei Principi di San Lorenzo”, you’ll have time to relax before tasting local specialties that will be served for dinner at the hotel.

Day 5 - Thursday, October 30

Marsala and Trapani with their exquisite baroque city center will be discovered with our local guide in a relaxing walking tours in the morning. After a special lunch, we’ll head to the Winery Nino De Bartoli, selected by Roscioli for a wine tasting after visiting the cellar and the beautiful vineyards overlooking the sea.

A stunning sunset will be admired while sailing in the lagoon in the Stagnone Nature Reserve with pink flamingos, windmills and the salt mounds.

We’ll end the day in a typical restaurant in Marsala.

Day 6 - Friday, October 31

The imposing temple of Segesta will be visited in the morning with our local guide, and after the tour you will enjoy a yummy pizza before visiting the vineyards and cellar at the winery chosen by Roscioli: the famous Marco De Bartoli property.

We’ll complete the awesome day in Mazara del Vallo, to admire the beautiful Dancing Satyr, the bronze statue of a mythological character, raised from the depths of the Sicilian Sea, and we’ll dine in the lively historical centre.

Day 7 - Saturday, November 1

Today, on the way back to Palermo, after breakfast and check out, we’ll stop in the stunning archeological site in Selinunte, that we’ll discover with the local expert guide. After the lunch at leisure will head to Palermo, where after the check out, you’ll have free time.

We’ll meet again for our Goodbye dinner!

Day 8 - Sunday, November 2

After checking out, your Lilipans ‘assistant will help you in your departure procedures.

In order to participate in our tours, Travel Insurance taken out in your country of residence is highly recommended.

PRICING

  • € 6,800,00, per person (based on two people sharing a double room)
  • The trip will run with a minimum of 8 guests and a maximum of 16 guests so you are guaranteed to be part of a small, intimate group.
  • € 500 deposit per person, is due immediately to confirm the booking, which will be deducted from the total price. This deposit is non-refundable, unless the tour is canceled because the minimum number of participants is not reached.
  • € 4,000 retainer per person  is due by May 26, 2025
  • The € 2,300 balance per person is due by August 26, 2025

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

In order to participate in our tours, Travel Insurance taken out in your country of residence is highly recommended.

We are not responsible for any fees or changes you may become liable for relating to the airlines or other transportation not provided by us.
For all international travel, US citizen’s passports must be valid for at least six months after the end of their stay in Italy, and have at least three blank visa pages. It is your responsibility to confirm that your travel documents meet the entry and exit requirements for the full duration of your trip.
All cancellation requests must be in writing and are valid from the day we receive the request.

Cancellations:

  • Cancelling 60 or more days before your departure date will result in a 30%  refund of your total payment.
  • Cancellations less than 60 days before your departure date will result in no refund. The full payment will be required.
  • We do not offer a refund for unused portions of the tour, including but not limited to missed meals, hotel nights,  sightseeing activities or any other included services.
  • The deposit of 500 per person  in all instances is non-refundable, unless the tour is canceled because the minimum number of participants is not reached.
  • All cancellation requests must be in writing and are valid from the day we receive the request
